Produced by the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union, a cooperative owned by small farmers and founded in June 1999. OCFCU’s members grow, process, and supply organic coffee exclusively in the Oromia region, the birthplace of coffee. 

​Production takes place in Oromia  Regional State,  which  accounts  for  more than half  of the  country's  growing  land.  This  is  a  highland  region  dominated  by  fertile soils of volcanic origin.
